This was stop #1 on Troy’s
Cancer Free 100 House Concert
Tour.  We had also hoped to be
the final stop on the cancer free
tour.  San Diego was the final
stop - way too soon.  We miss
you Troy - and always will!
Rob Mehl:  Neat, With A Twist CD Release Party
What a great afternoon!  Weather was
bad so the Club Manager at SGYC let us
move the party inside.  Mood was set
with white table linens, red roses- and, of
course, Rob.  He was wonderful.  The
new CD is fantastic.  Thanks to all who
came out - and even bought extra CDs
to use as holiday gifts!  Most people
stayed to the very end - and probably
would have stayed for as long as Rob
was able to sing.
Jim Hoehn
What an afternoon!  It may have
been raining outside, but inside
we were having a great time.
Show opened with Gary Seiler,
followed by Jerry Gontang then
Charlie Imes before the
champion storyteller himself took
to the mic.  Great stories and
great songs.  It’s been a lot of
years since Jim was last in San
Diego for a house concert but we
sure hope he comes back again
real soon!!
Keith Sykes
What a great day!  All those who reserved
a spot and didn’t show up today really
missed one of the best opportunities for
an outstanding show!  This was a once in
a lifetime opportunity and was soooo good
from beginning to end.  Thanks, Keith for
a truly memorable show.
Sunny Jim
It was supposed to be cold and cloudy, but
turned out to be 75° and sunny!  Of course
Sunny Jim claimed credit for the weather.
It was a great day with approximately 60
people present and a good day for Navy-
Marine Corps Relief Society who took a
portion of the take from the gate.  Thanks
to everyone who came out and helped to
make this day a huge success.
Mike Miller
Take a close look at this picture.  The palm tree behind Mike makes it look like he has
palm frond angel wings - just like the ones in our ‘Aries Angels’ logo.  Do you suppose
that is supposed to mean we can make Mike an honorary Aries Angel?  I choose to
think that is what is intended.  Mike is relatively new to the house concert scene.
Before booking him, I had never seen his solo act - though I saw him with the Boat
Drunks many times.  Love his solo CD so I knew it would be a good show, but what a
pleasant surprise - wonderful show!  We had some ‘no shows’ and a group of our
usual attendees who were on vacation and couldn’t be here so attendance was
smaller than what we expected.  Those who couldn’t make it should know that there
couldn’t have been a better show.  Thinking of asking Mike to come back for Schooner
Cup weekend at Silver Gate.
Thanks for the use of your sound system,
Rob! Always good to have Rob around.
Cheri managed to sell everything he had
except for 4 CDs - and still forgot to buy
one for herself!
John Frinzi & John Patti
It was a picture postcard perfect San
Diego day made only better by the
music of John Frinzi and John Patti.
Good stories, good tunes. Thanks for
extending your Migration stay by
coming down for the day, guys.
Thanks to Amanda and Kris for
getting them here from Orange
County.
Mark Mulligan & Rob Mehl
What a wonderful evening. We didn’t have
much time to put this one together - and we
had a probability of rain that we couldn’t
control, but it all came together pretty well.
Unfortunately, the Club wifi was not at full
strength so BeachFront Radio couldn’t
broadcast live as planned, but they did
record and replay it a couple of days later.
Mark and Rob were in fine form. Great
show guys.
